have them dry cleaned. it does not cost very much and it is safer than the washing machine.

Wash them in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. Put them in a pillow case.... this will stop their eyes or noses (if they are made from plastic or glass) scratching the machine drum and ruining the teddies!

You really should only surface wash them with mild soap and warm water and a wash cloth. Most likely, putting them in the washing machine will mess them up. Do they have tags on them? The tags will say what's best for them. If they just need a freshening, toss them in the dryer on no heat with a fabric softener sheet.

You can wash them in the washer. If they have any stains on them, spray with whatever stain remover you use and then put the stuffed animals in a pillow case and tie a knot in the pillow case and wash on gentle cycle and then throw in the dryer while still in the pillow case and they will come out very clean and fluffy...used this method for years and they come out great....

Washing machine gentle cycle...dryer ...perm press cycle...you don't want the dryer too hot or the washer agitation too strong. I have washed my children and grandchildrens animals this way and have never had a problem. Oh yeah ...make sure to use snuggle or bounce fabric softener sheets to make them smell really yummy !

Usually some stuffed animals have tags that say machine washable. If one does not say that then hand wash them. So i suggest you just machine wash them. Thats what I did and it was really clean. It didn't get ruined.

Look for tags. If there aren't any, use the gentle cycle with a short runtime. Use detergent made for gentle washing. Put them into the legs of pantyhose before you run them. Air dry them.

You know. Sometime wiping them down with a damp-soaped washcloth does wonders. Then wipe it the same way without soap. The washing machine may damage them, even if the washer doesn't have an agitator in it.

I always throw them in the washing machine with a load of clothes. Then in the dryer or on a clothes line. Brush them after they are dry to fluff them back up.

Washing machine on gentle cycles. Our dogs like to play with (chew) small ones. Of course they get pretty gross, so we just machine wash them and have done so many times with no visible damage. You probably won't be washing nearly as often, unless you also chew on them!
