My daughter received an invitation to a baby shower. Included was a list of suggested gift items, including for the parents-to-be (spa, dinner certificates) and large items (strollers and a rocker?).
And what really made me gasped was noted on the invitatation "to keep the cost down, please bring a food and drink item-the cake will be provided).
Fortunately my daughter went back to school and can't go to this shower.
Isn't this being a bit odd?

i hit upon it somewhat ordinary too. fairly some the time the couple registars at a branch shop and you will go in and purchase some thing on the record. Giving a catalogue for the mum and father-to-be i think is irrelevant. it is not a tub for them yet for the toddler. inquiring for spa and dinner certificates is quite uncommon and ridiculous. Bringing your man or woman food is weird and wonderful too, it form of feels the couple needs absolutely everyone to place money into them and whoever is information superhighway hosting the bathe isn't desirous to spend any money. i may be embarrassed if i replaced into with reference to the couple. i might deliver a card and placed on it to maintain value down i'm in basic terms sending a card and a shop commercial you are able to chosen what you opt for and go purchase it your self. i realize it is propose however the right etiquette is for a relatives memeber or buddy to host the bathe and pay for the food, beverages and so on.

extremely tacky! I threw a potluck baby shower, but there were over 50 guests and no way to afford feeding them all. But sap and dinner certs! Give me a break!!
