I don't see how all these women say childbirth was THE WORST PAIN they've ever felt. My mom went through labor with my sister and I (we're twins) without ANY pain medication, and I was breach and we were only 2weeks early so we were both almost 7 pnds each, and she doesn't go on and on about how painful it was. I guess you have to be a strong woman and have a tolerance for pain, which a lot of women here don't seem to have. They sound like martyrs to me, and like drama queens!!!!! Just relax and don't listen to these weak women!!!! I'm sure being stabbed or on fire, or having a limb removed COULD be worse ehhhh

I've had childbirth and my last one was a totally natural, drug free home birth ( I labored in warm water & it was just as good, if not better, than the epidurals at the hospital).
Anyway, while childbirth is uncomfortable and even painful at times (pushing was always painful for me, whereas the contractions were more uncomfortable like cramps), the pain of childbirth is not even in my top 3 most painful life exeriences. I'd rate birth as maybe 5 or 6 out of the 10 most painful things I've had.
I passed a kidney stone while pregnant. It was FAR WORSE than childbirth. Passing the stone was most painful #3 experience, while a bout of gout was #2 and a raw, bleeding esophogus was #1.
The moral of the story...childbirth isn't that painful in the big scheme of things but you want to avoid kidney stones and gout like the plague!!!

I have had 3 children by c-section. My first one I had 11 hours of labor (which was no fun). I haven't experienced natural childbirth, but I am sure it is much easier than a c-section (pain wise). I had my latest baby 3 weeks ago and am still in pain. Natural childbirth, I've seen women up and about within hours. I guess it just depends on the size of the baby and the extent that your body can handle.

I heard that kidney stones are more painful than childbirth. I don't know first hand, but I have a friend who has 2 kids. She recently had kidney stones and said it was more painful. I've heard guys say that it was the most painful thing they've ever had too. Even after broken bones and surguries. Drink plenty of water!

The contractions and going into labor hurts. The actual pushing of the baby hurts more however, if you asks for the epidural it will not hurt as much. Speaking from experience I was in alot of pain then when I got the epidural it was a great relieve.

When I was ready too push the baby out it did not hurt but I felt some pressure, Some women do not feel anything at all..

To be honest..i have never experienced pain like childbirth..It is the worst pain to me that a person can go through..It's almost unbearable....It would be if not for the pain medicine and epidural...I don't see how some women can take that pain with NO kind of pain relief...That's why I'd say women are much stronger than men..To be realistic...Because men could not handle it...

I've had worse pain than childbirth by stubbing my toe. Childbirth is not that bad, and I had no medication. Breathing, meditating, and prayer are as good as drugs. Now, having my sternum sawed in half to get to a tumor, THAT was pain.

Where I are living they flip off the epidural whilst you get practically pushing, so I felt all of that. Labour was once certainly worse for me. However my labour began correct bang with robust contractions ninety seconds aside, no time to brace for the following contraction, so perhaps I'm no longer particularly consultant. During the genuine supply it is less difficult to awareness: you need to get the youngster out and you'll be able to paintings at pushing. It's excruciating, peculiarly whilst the pinnacle nearly however no longer relatively comes out, however someway it is less difficult to manage than the contractions even as dilating. Maybe considering the fact that you are extra in manipulate, you'll be able to truthfully DO some thing to get towards the tip of anguish.
