There was a movie made for TV, from the 70's, With a hit song from John Denver... ~ Sunshine on my shoulders ~ I can not remember the movie to save my soul... The movie was about a young couple with a young child. The Mother was dieing of cancer, The Father was a singer { The best I can remember } when the Mother dyed, The father was holding his child, with the song {sunshine on my shoulders} playing in the background.

Thanks to you all who took a intreast in helping with this in finding this movie. It was a big help to me in finding this movie, not only did I find the name of the movie, But I have ordered the book also. and also found out there was two parts of this movie and have both along with the book coming,

actually it was a tv series in 1975 about a widower [cliff de young] who was taking care of his step-daughter [his wife's child from a previous marriage]
