2(6w + 18) = 54

12w + 36 = 54

12w + 36 - 36 = 54 - 36

12w = 18

12w/12 = 18/12

w = 18/12

w = 3/2

w = 1 1/2

w = 1.5

The answer is w = 3/2 or w = 1.5

12w=54-36
