Eve became subservient once they were thrown out of Eden for her sin. Thus was part of her punishment, menstruation and childbirth the other.
You need to check out you bible concerning the wife's submission and the husbands duty to the wife. Read Ephesians 5:22 - 33. Then go on thru Ephesians 6:1 - 9(this is for children and parents - slaves and masters). Notice the wife has 3 lines of instruction. Whereas the husband has 9 lines.
As for the two genders, that was God's choosing. A mate from his side to be by his side. Just look at the symbolism. Take a part from the body and often that part is weak. Whereas the body, it self, often become just as strong as it was. Here we have the weaker sex.
Oh, but do not be deceived, we are not weaker! Strength, maybe, brains, sometimes. But we are far stronger in our thoughts. We, women, compliment the male species. That is , when we are at our best. The men, compliment the female species. Okay we still bring out their best!
Why just two genders? Just look at our society and beyond. Monogamy works best. Multiple relationships cause more problems that any one person can honestly handle. Too many hands in the pot spoils the soup! Lets face it, our creator knew that our weak human minds can only multi-task but so far. Then someone cries foul. The whole tower falls.

God did not create you to be subservient to your husband ...that is a mans thing developed form the story of Adam and Eve. Men wrote the bible...and since Adam was created first ...men feel they are the superior beings...God having GIFTED them with Eve as a companion ...they feel that they control women. Especially since Eve tempted Adam into tasting the apple ...men take that as proof that women cannot make good decisions and must rely on the brain of her big strong husband to make them for her.

God created us equal. We humans treat each other as unequal. Not God's fault.

I do not and never have seen myself as being subservient, why do you? Your choice. If you think you are subservient then so shall it be. If you are being treated so then change it.

Eve's cool, and there's nothing wrong with Adam either, works much better if we get along.

God had nothing to do with it..
In the human species, the male is the
larger, stronger, more agressive & dominant...
Western society, culture & the feminist movement has
tried to deny the biological facts but so far they have meerly
confused some of the issues and more gullible of our species.

men and women are equal in the kingdom of god.
there is no discrimination in this regard. the conditions in the society made them to appear like that which is not good for human welfare.

coolbeani has it right. it was not God who created
inequality. a minister (male) once explained it this
way. for millennia the bible and all other knowledge
were handed down by word of mouth. since women
never got too old to cook, clean, and care for the
young and the ill. the job of handing down knowledge
was taken care of by men who were too old to hunt.
being men they put the best (manly) slant to all the
stories.
