what area does the pizza cover?If the pizza is cut into four equal peices what is the area of each peice?
This is not homework, I need to know how to find out the area of a circle using radius and how to find the area of the peices if you cut the circle.

Area of a circle formula
A = π r²

The radius is 22.0 cm

A = 3.141592654(22.0)²
A = 3.141592654(484)
A=1520.530844 cm
A = 1520.5 cm Rounded to one decimal place.
The answer is A = 1520.5 cm

Dividing the pizza into 4 equal pieces
1520.5 / 4 = 380.125 cm
The answer is 380.1 cm per piece. Rounded to one decimal place.

Area of a circle is equal to (pi)r^2, where r=radius.
So A=(pi)(22cm)^2=1521 square cm.
Since the pizza is cut into 4 equal pieces, each piece must be a fourth of the total area of the pizza.
1521/4=380.25 square cm

Area of a circular pizza = pi * r^2
A= 3.142 * 22*22
A= 1520.728cm^2
if the pizza is cut into 4 pieces,
1520.728/4
A= 380.182cm^2

area=3.14 (22) ^
area=3.14(484)
area=1519.76 cm
for the second question
divide the total area by 4
so...
1519.76/4=379.94 cm

so

Pi = 3.1415926
do the arithmetic then divide by 4.
