My kids are going trick or treating tomorrow and also on a hayride. All of the adults have bought costumes but me. I wasn't planning on dressing up but I changed my mind for my girls. What are some good costumes I can do at home? I can't go to the store because I won't have enough money until Monday and this thing is tomorrow

Go to link below. They have a list of no- or almost no-cost costumes. I like the tourist idea. Do one of your girls have a pink sleeper? The energizer bunny would be cute.

Thriftyfun.com is a great site anyway.

Go to your parents house and see if they have any old clothes from the 50's, 60's, or 70's.

Think of the possibility of wearing genuine 70's bell bottoms for the party.

you could be a hobo--wear ratty jeans, a funny hat, a plaid shirt, a rope belt, holey socks, put "dirt" makeup on your face. Make a little pouch with a bandana and tie it to the end of a stick.

you could be a clown--wear mismatched clothes and paint your face like a clown with makeup, frizz out your hair and tie with different colored bows/ribbons or wear a silly hat.

you could be a puppy dog--wear a brown or black sweatsuit, use makeup to make a puppy face on yourself (black nose, dots on your cheeks, etc.), put on a real dog collar or make one from fabric or paper. Put your hair in pigtails or use a headband with long black or brown socks attached on each side for your "ears.

Good luck and have fun!
