I'm upgrading next month and I'm torn

I don't have either - but am too upgrading and looking at the same phones as you mention - can't make up my mind either, so thanks for the question! I would say though, that I have always found Nokia a bit predictable and boring, so after several handsets I swapped to Sony Ericsson - which I love! However, if you get any Sony Ericsson that has a 'joystick' you can expect it to start malfunctioning after 6 months or so - 18 month contracts are therefore not good. I would also agree with the charging problem - that, with the joystick are making me sway to the Nokia73. I just hope that won't come with alternative technical glitches!!

I own the k800i, and after using my friends n73, have realised it has a much shaper screen and camera function, although I havn't converted these images to print so do not if it's just down to what i'm seeing on the screen.

The response time of certain functions on n73 are also much slower, giving the impression is has 'crashed' for small periods of time.

However, the red & white n73 is gorgeous and looks-wise wins.

I will prefer Sony ericsson nowadays. cos feedback from friends who use NOkia, the phont's software does not last long as well as the battery.the standard a bit drop. I get good feedback on ericsson. I myself using ericsson K700i, one year plus already, still in good condition.

Nokia phones are much better, Sony Ericson's have a poor connection for charging and after a short time of using the phone it will stop charging. I have just changed from Sony Erickson to Nokia for that reason

The K800i has better camera features. For example, it has Xenon flash like on a real camera, autofocus and everything like this. don't own either of these phones but may be getting a K800i and have seen pictures taken by these phones

just to be obtuse I'll say the ericsson. I have one and it's so much more stylish that the nokia. I was a die hard nokia fan, but the 800i has made me a convert. The camera is superb and it just feels more like a grown up phone than the nokia.

I have always had Nokia phones and always loved them and swore I would never have anything else.

I now have a SE K800i and am thrilled with it. The camera is awesome and the phone is fab.

I am definately converted.

I've had both and I can tell you that Nokia always gets the vote. Sony Erksson tend to be fiddly to use and illogical.. I've tried three SE's and had about 15 Nokia and I would never stray again. They are the UK market leader after all

i can't say i have any experience with the sony but i love my nokia n73, the only thing is you don't get a memory card supplied with it.

the screen is really clear and the camera takes excellent quality photos. i would definately recommend it.
