I DONT KNOW A THING ABOUT THE CHICANO MOVEMENT !!!
Having admitted that i am no expert in the Chicano movement i will humbly lend my 2 cents about questioning authority and weakening society.I will use an anology .
The body makes a very useful and important hormone called cortisone without it we would die of inflamtion .Cortisol is catabolic , that is to say it breaks things down .This is a necessary process in the body .Without it we would die horribly and painfuly as i said earlier.
Questioning authority is like the hormone cortisol it is necessary to prevent catostrphic failure of a society .
Too much cortisol and the body waste away as its drive to break things down becomes all consuming .
Questioning authority is appropriate and necessary for our society to surive .Excessive amounts of questioning society will kill society and send it into chao's .
Fact is we need the left and the right to balancing things out in our society .
Sorry i could not address the Chicano movement directly but hopefuly i have been able to contribute at least towards questioning authority in general.
