Thanks for all the help before, turns out, my battery was fried and i bought a new one, but im having a bit of a dilema. My car now idles at 1500 rpm. Thats bad. Im pretty sure its just adjusting the throttle cables, but maybe its something else. i just did a whole reassembly of the intake manifold. any ideas or suggestions on how to adjust the cables?

you cant adjust the cables but either you have a vacuum leak or you need to have something adjusted. a year of the vehicle would help me out here

to adjust the throttle cable, warm the engine. then adjust the cable so there is 1/4" to 3/8" play in the center of the exposed section of cable.
