Black and white is timeless and classic, as long as it's not overly done. You can end up looking like a prisoner. On the other hand, with red and white you're probably going to look like a candy cane. My suggestion: Stick with solid black, red, or white and accent with gold, silver, copper, etc.

it depends on what your going for and how much color is in the dress. if its a red dress w/ white accents or black w/white, also depends on the style of the dress. if it has an empire waist i would wear red, but a more natural waist maybe black, depends on length too. there are so many different cocktail dresses that you could probably find one to suit your needs. also depends on which colors look best on you. every dress looks different on different people, find the one you like and rock it!!!

I saw black and white because of the "little black dress" myth (or is it fact). My favorite color is red, but I think the combo of red and white reminds me a little too much of the Canadian flag. Best of luck.

There are too many variables to make a decision.

Black and white can be very dramatic. It also suggests class and style.

Red and white combinations are probably thought to be more casual, friendly, open, and exude sexual confidence.

So it depends on your coloring, the occassion, and what image you wish to project about yourself.

It sounds greater such as you have an hourglass parent. Any style of gown that cinches in on the waist will make your waist seem small and flatter the curves you have. in keeping with possibility attempt a unfashionable occasion gown, like something you will possibly see on Mad adult males. An empire waist gown will do little to flatter your shape and might make you seem even taller than you're. so a strategies as shade, green outfits consistently convey out green eyes, yet pink can do precisely as lots on your eyes as green, considering that's a complementary shade. army blue outfits consistently flatter dark hair and purple undertones. i might say choose for something jewel toned and you will seem astonishing.
