how can i find affordable items for children while i babysit without spending to terribly much $?

Question

i have went to adveritsment websites but somplaces are to far were can i get cheap but fun stuff for kids when i babysit i want stuff to be safe fun educational and affordable

i dont want them to be so cheap that theyll break a couple times after they use it

and just to let you all know i live in AZ dont really know if that helps

oh and dont have my own vehicle to be driving everywhere

yardsales, thrift shops, and sometimes dollar stores.

Sometimes there are other daycare providers on a list with the city and they all exchange toys and such like every other month or so. Call your local daycare licensing place. They even bring them to your home.

Or start a daycare toy swap of your own.

In some areas, the library offers educational toys and games and puzzles that can be borrowed just as books can be. If your library doesn't have such a thing, why not try to get a campaign organized to get toy donations for your library... you can benefit twice from the campaign. :)

You have the best thing available-- use the Internet. I download lots of craft ideas to make from recycle stuff, i get pics to color, i get story's to read, i get games to download such as Bingo, and if you know the kids interests the computer is your best friend.
