What colour is a polar bears fur???

Its Black to absorb the sun to kept them warm, each hair strand is a very fine tube and this gives the white appearance!!!!

I don't think there is a white pigment. Black hair turns white for the lack of pigment, not because of it. The fur is made up of a kind of translucent hollow shaft (where the pigment would be were there any). Light gets trapped inside the hair (fur) and sort of gets amplified, and reflected. I am not a zoologist, but I think this is a good description

Clear with a yellow tinge. Each hair on a polar bear is hollow to direct sunlight down to the skin.

White, getting darker towards the roots. Also, they're a bit darker on their underbellies!
