Remember Alice Richards? She is the hotel guest who is hard of hearing and has her hearing aid turned down most of the time. One moment from the entire Fawlty Towers series stands out - that moment when Basil fakes her out by simply mouthing something to her and she thinks her hearing aid is turned down too much so she turns it all the way up, and then he shouts into it. She was the one who wanted himn to move the window in her room so she would have a better view.

The Germans episode, no question. Like all great comedy, there's a real anger in it about what the Nazis did, but it's done is such a funny way. Great stuff. Perfection.

Without a doubt when he hits his car and counts to three ,i did that long before he did ,infact when i first saw it i thought he had been watching me ,to this day i feel so sorry for that cortina that let me down.but i have to admit that in anotherepisode i had stirrings when black hands were found on the breasts of one of his guests,
in another episode although it was not my favorite do you remember when the guy with the medallions round his neck ,who takes his girlfriend to his bedroom ,but pretends its his mother ,do you recognise him in eastenders ,as the guy who is the father of billy,s partener ,cant remember her name ,in eastenders,he doesnt look like him ,but you must know the voice.
