Not including a few stretch marks, I want to know about the way your hips are and the skin on your stomach. And whatever else I am forgetting?

it'll ONLY go back if you can afford a personal trainer and a 24/7 nanny/au pair to watch your baby, giving you time to sleep, work out and live like you did BEFORE you had a child.

It's never exactly the same. Something about having another person inside of you tends to throw things out of whack :)

Even if you're lucky enough not to get stretch marks, your skin still stretches. Some women have more elasticity in their skin than others, therefore it is more noticable on some women than others. So, it's not a sure thing, but more than likely you'll have some "extra" skin after pregnancy.

Also, due to a baby being inside of you, your pelvic bones will spread apart as the baby settles in. Again, more on some women than others.

Then, there's the breasts. Many times they get bigger and stay that way. Depending on how much bigger you may get stretch marks there as well. Of course if you breast feed, you will lose some shape and tend to droop sooner vs. a woman who does not breast feed.

All in all every woman is different. The more babies you have, the harder it is to get back what used to resemble your pre-baby body. Also, the later in life you experince pregnancy the harder to bounce back.

After four children, I'm still a size ten, have no stretch marks, and can wear a bikini. Some women use pregnancy as an excuse for letting themselves go, but if you don't want to, you don't have to put on pounds. And if you want to keep your figure, you can either go to a gym class or stay active in whatever sports you enjoy. Active is the keyword. Sitting and watching something doesn't do anything for you.
So whether your body goes back to normal or not is entirely up to you. Some women do have stretch marks, and there isn't much you can do about that (although they do fade in time) but as for everything else, it's completely under your control.

Not without surgical intervention.

Your skin gets stretched out a lot. There may be stretch marks or a little extra skin around the middle.

Your breasts will look different from the changes that take place during pregnancy and the post-partum engorgement. (So don't use "I don't want my boobs to sag" as a reason not to breastfeed.....pregnancy changes your breasts, not breastfeeding.)

Your hips will be a slightly different shape. I had pants that would have fit my waist fine, but wouldn't go over my hips anymore! I was shocked by that!

I think it's possible to look just as good after birth as you did before. Just watch what you eat, and get regular exercise, and your body should bounce right back. It's important to give your body that 6 weeks to recover after birth though. It also takes awhile for you to get your energy back. The skin on your stomach is very elastic. Other than the stretch marks your, belly and hips should be fine.

No its not true!! If you are a dedicated women then your body will go back. If you work out while pregnant your body will go back faster, cont to work out after baby... If you gain alot of weight you will have extra skin so just watch what you eat..

My body went from a size 12 when pregnant to my normal size of 4, 5 weeks after having my kids... Yes I do have some stretch marks but I dont mind those.. Const work and it will pay off

No, you could still lose weight. I don't know who said that you wont go back to normal. Britney Spears lost 26 pounds 4 weeks after giving birth to her second.

After I had my child, I lost all the weight and looked healthy.... I mean, I became very slim again but i looked better than before I had my child. Before I looked too skinny. It just took a lot of dancing and moving around. You can do it, just gotta work at it.
