my pc is in my kitchen and every time something switches on or off i.e fridge, telly , lights etc, I sometimes get mad cracking or popping noises on the computer. I got a surge adapter today, but its still at it ......any cures please ???

i'm surprised it works at all , most breakers in the kitchen are maxed out for power when the fridge kicks on , because a refrigerator takes about 12-18 amps of power ,and most circuits are 20 amps ,move it to another room

Power down your computer, and take off the cover. You may find that dirt or dust is shorting something. Otherwise, just keep using the computer until it dies. You might want to make a backup of your important document files.

Im not sure but it sounds like your computer is acting as a conductor. I think you should put something under it thats non conductive to get it off of what its sitting on.

Check your system volume isn't too high. That's what happened to me.
