You do not mention the make of the dryer but I would guess that it may be a Whirlpool or Kenmore(made by Whirlpool). If this is a correct assumption the start relay may be defective. The start relay is part of the push to start switch.

do this (check the door ) not the switch if the door is some how still activating the switch when ajar it could be slightly bent / unleveled hinges! if the door is fine do this ( purchase aa small can of wd40 which comes with a nozzle attachment wich is great for this job attach nozzle and spray 360 = completly around not the outside barrier of the switch but the inside (dont over spray) give it one good spray when dryer is not in use ....test it out after an hour!

Furn man is correct.. Level the dryer as he said. Not much more you need to do. Unless you are level and there is still a problem. If this is the case call you repair man and have it looked at while it is under warranty.

When you changed the switch did you make sure that the surfaces were totally clear of anything sticky. Look inside the door and see if the button has come out. If it is activated by the piece of metal going in check to make sure the flap is closed. If all that is fine then I would assume that it is not wired correctly and I would go back and check the wires.

One of the wires to the switch could be disconnected in the dryer. Call a repair person.

Turn it to air dry, so you don't use as much electricity. Call a repairman.
