If you know which company is your friend's mobile service provider, you may be able to send a message from that provider's web site. You'll need to know your friend's number.

This is true for Alltel Cellular service in the United States.

If you use windows live messenger, you can set up a mobile phone buddy, and IM them through that. They might get charged for receiving sms messages, though.

Yes there are sites but i think the eayest way is to add the on ICQ u can jsut add them liek a normal contact but jsut type in there phone number.
