Save yourself some money and don't buy chew-sticks, they won't use them. Use cut up pieces of fruit instead. I gave my girl carrots and apples. She loved them and the kept her teeth from growing to long. I will do the same thing for my new boy hamster as soon as he is old enough to eat them. As for nails and whiskers, I never had to do anything for mine but then again my little girl (Daisy) had a lot of room and tubes to climb through and that kept her nails short. Good luck
