Where did you come up with your information about the Republican party having more gays then the Democrat party? Just because of Foley? I don't know how most Catholic Priests vote. All of the Catholics I know personally are Democrats though.

Just because someone is gay - does not make them a sexual predator or pedofile, just as much as someone who is hetero doesn't make them automatically innocent of crimes against children.
--Gay rights advocates are liberals and mostly Democrats.
--I would not have any basis - and neither do you - to know or determine which party has more homosexuals.
--Catholics are one of the most evely divided of the religions in terms of political affiliaton: 36-Democrat, 35-Republican, 27-Independent, 1-Other. As for the priests, one could assume their political affiliation closely resembles that of their congregation.
--Catholics are not as divided in their ideology: 47-moderate, 37-liberal, 18-conservative

Republicans on this board are hoping to sway your opinion and your vote to their direction. The only thing they know how to do is bully and name-call Democrats and Liberals. They don't care that most people don't even fall into those categories. But they try to pigeon hole so the country will be divided.
Good thing you're way ahead of them. Keep writing, expressing and exercise your right to vote. And if the Democrats get in again, ignore the Republicans when they go on massive attacks and wasting money on things like Whitewater and such. It's the same kind of ruse that you see here.
