it started out with me trying to stop the pop ups.coz it's is irritating,now everything looks awefull!imagine everything looks weird on my computer ryt now. even this site! i need help here!tried system restore but nothing's happening!please help!need it so bad!

Sounds alot like you may have either a bunch of spyware, or you may have a virus... I suggest using AVG Free to scan, as you are able to fully update it as often as they come out with them (a few times a week). If you cannot find any, then I would agree with those saying that you'll need to fully format the drive and reinstall the operating system. But, before you do that, make sure you have backed up the files that you need or want to keep.

Your computer is infected with a viruse most probably, either you scan your computer with any known anti-viruse then you will get the viruse name, search here for that viruse by typing the name in this site:

then you will get any removal tools if available
OR
you can just format your PC but first backup your important data
After that you should use a pop up blocker from Symantic or the one that is built in within IE 7.0 or just download yahoo toolbar
