Would the having an L5 problem in the back cause someone to have trouble playing tennis?

My partner has an L5 problem (major) and yet can play tennis with the best of the best. Is this an issue?

Is that a serious back problem. If it is then it would most defiantly affect her game. You can have good days, but when you have to play back to back days and tough matches your back will tighten up on you. Agassi was battling his back during the whole US OPEN. When he lost to Benjamin Becker in the third round, he could hardly move.
