How do I download things for the sims 2?

whenever I try to download, things don't seem to go into my game.

Hmm, this may be a glitch in your program. Try saving the item to your desktop and then clicking on it. Once it has taken you through the install process (the little blue screen that pops up) you should restart your computer and open the game. Make sure that you're looking in the right catagory, too; hair goes under the little star icon and teens and adults can not usually wear the same downloaded item, so check both.
