Abortion is always a tough question as there are hundreds of reasons for wanting an abortion.
I myself have had a abortion and it was one of the hardest descions of my life. Although I know that in the eyes of some it is very wrong, you have to think of the person who is pregnant and the baby. I was young, too young. I had no family to support me or anything. So I think it would have been wrong to bring a child into this world when my own circumstances were so dire.
Some people have abortions as they couldnt go through with an adoption when the pregnancy is unwanted, so really abortion is not right or wrong its just something that happens because of the society we are surrounded with.

Abortion should be legal. Especially in the first trimester. They should be clean, and performed by a licensed doctor with the supervision of a nurse. If one is under the age of 18 then you must have guardian consent or court permission.

People have abortions for many reasons. I am not going to judge them, and frankly its none of my business if someone gets one or not.

Personally I have not had one. I made sure that when I did have sex I was on birth control (Depo) and my male partner used a condom. Although nothing is besides abstinence is 100%, that's the best I could do to make sure no unplanned and unwanted pregnancies occurred.

Abortion should be legal. I would have to think long and hard about having one, but that's me. Another woman might not have any second thoughts about having one. I think that abortion is a woman's choice because it's the woman's body that's involved. And, when a man can get pregnant, that's when a man can have a say in abortion.

I do think that it's riotously unfair for the religious zealots in our country to impose their viewpoint on everyone. Every Christian on Earth is not going to Hell if I have an abortion.

i think abortion is fine if it prevents unwanted pregnancies.
i dont think it should be used as a form of contraception.
lots of woman get pregnant through complete accident others through rape or abuse which is hard enough to deal with without having to make the awful desicion to have an abortion.
i believe the woman who make this desicion dont make it lightly, and they should be supported not slagged off.
those who go and get pregnant for the fun of it however are a completely different matter.
im 100% for abortion if its for the right reason.

Its murder, plain and simple. People who have abortions should be tryed with the death pently and they should die as well. You are killing a baby god made.

People are not educated and are plain stupid and use abortion as a form of b/c or it just happen excuses... Lets me adults and remember if you lye down with someone and have sex you know you might be making a baby and you need to take responsibilty for that child NOT kill it.. If your not ready to be a parent dont have sex. Plan and simple..... BUT people will justifie it no matter what..

ITS WRONG.... Its NOT a womens choice it should be as well the mans choice. You picked this man to have sex with then HE should have the RIGHT to be involved in the decision. Women are just selfish people and don't think of anyone else but themselves...

Sad thing is I am a women but a very diffrent women..

Abortion is wrong. It is never "Okay". It is not a matter of conflicting opinions, it is a matter of Right and Wrong.

women, especially teens, might not be prpared to hve and take care of a baby. its better to not have the kid than bring it into a life of poverty and a poor quality of life. or the lady knows that she is not very motherly and the child will grow up feeling unloved. the lady might not have any one to support her. there are many good reasons why abortion is ok

It's definitely okay. If a pregnant female does not want to risk her life to bring the fetus to term, NO ONE has the right to force her to take that risk.

Excerpts from the Catechism of the Catholic Church

on Life, Abortion, and Euthanasia (#2258-2262; 2268-2279)

Abortion

2270
Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person -- among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.(71)

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. (72)

My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth .(73)

2271 Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law:

You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish .(74)

God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes.(75)

2272 Formal co-operation in an abortion constitutes a grave offence. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life. 'A person who procures a completed abortion incurs excommunication latae sententiae' (76) 'by the very commission of the offence', (77) and subject to the conditions provided by Canon Law . (78) The Church does not thereby intend to restrict the scope of mercy. Rather, she makes clear the gravity of the crime committed, the irreparable harm done to the innocent who is put to death, as well as to the parents and the whole of society.

2273 The inalienable right to life of every innocent human individual is a constitutive element of a civil society and its legislation:

'The inalienable rights of the person must be recognized and respected by civil society and the political authority. These human rights depend neither on single individuals nor on parents; nor do they represent a concession made by society and the state; they belong to human nature and are inherent in the person by virtue of the creative act from which the person took his origin. Among such fundamental rights one should mention in this regard every human being's right to life and physical integrity from the moment of conception until death.'(79)

'The moment a positive law deprives a category of human beings of the protection which civil legislation ought to accord them, the state is denying the equality of all before the law. When the state does not place its power at the service of the rights of each citizen, and in particular of the more vulnerable, the very foundations of a state based on law are undermined. . . As a consequence of the respect and protection which must be ensured for the unborn child from the moment of conception, the law must provide appropriate penal sanctions for every deliberate violation of the child's rights.' (80)

2274 Since it must be treated from conception as a person, the embryo must be defended in its integrity, cared for, and healed, as far as possible, like any other human being.

Prenatal diagnosis is morally licit, 'if it respects the life and integrity of the embryo and the human foetus and is directed toward its safeguarding or healing as an individual... It is gravely opposed to the moral law when this is done with the thought of possibly inducing an abortion, depending upon the results: a diagnosis must not be the equivalent of a death sentence.' (81)

2275 'One must hold as licit procedures carried out on the human embryo which respect the life and integrity of the embryo and do not involve disproportionate risks for it, but are directed toward its healing, the improvement of its condition of health, or its individual survival.' (82)

'It is immoral to produce human embryos intended for exploitation as disposable biological material.' (83)

'Certain attempts to influence chromosomic or genetic inheritance are not therapeutic but are aimed at producing human beings selected according to sex or other predetermined qualities. Such manipulations are contrary to the personal dignity of the human being and his integrity and identity' (84) which are unique and unrepeatable.
