Personally, i think it is good because if one gets injured you have another one that's already played in games and stuff. Which goalie do you think is better (Toskala or Nabokov?) based on their performance, not just on their win-lose record?

I think it's great. Some goalies can't handle not being the #1 and it gets to them mentally but Nabokov and Toskala seem to have it all together. I think Nabokov is the better goalie. I think he plays under pressure better. He doesn't let a bad goal throw him off his game. He just shakes it off and goes on.

a lot of teams have a two goalie system and at least hockey players don't whine about their inability to buy shoes for their family. Nabokov is better but Toskala has a lot to give too. Minnesota used a two goalie system for years and it served them well. Some teams wish they had goalies like SJ (Pittsburg is one of them)

It's always a good system if you can keep it running. But in the end money will become an issue and just like in Buffalo with Biron and Miller, one of them will leave. If not for money, it will be for the oppurtunity to play as a starter. If i was in that situation and a team needed my help i would leave to become a full time player and help out.
I think Toskala is just as good as Nabokov. But neither of them stands up to Kipprusoff whom they gave away..
Atleast they have a great farm system in SJ.

We have a better set of starting goalies here in Buffalo in Ryan Miller and Marty Biron.

I haven't seen enough of Toskala to be able to judge him by performance, but Nabakov is an awesome goalie. I'm not evn a Sharks fan and I can admit that (Ducks and Sabres).

The SJ Sharks have thier goaltending set. it is ture what you said about having two starting goalies so if one gets injured then the other who has experience will be able to play. Personally though I believe that Nabokov is better due to his experience in not only in the NHL but also from his experience in international competitons. He also has been consistantly good. at stopping shots.

nabokov has the edge becuz he has more experience. both are really good goalies. i really like these two goalies becuz they are a force to reckon with. they have got to be among the toughest to beat in the west besides vokoun and kiprusoff. most teams have one starter and a backup. i sure wish detroit had a set of goalies like these two. unfortunately they don't.

wy not? its smart thinking.
Goalies get hurt a lot.

I have no idea who Toskala and Nobokov are? I hate Russians. Plus Hockey sucks. It just takes time away from Basketball season. Why dont they go on strike again? It was better that way.
