Usually a girl starts her period around the same time as her mother did. This isn't always the case though. If your child is very active her period will be delayed. If she is either over or under weight then this could also play a factor. Chances are she is just a late bloomer. 12 isn't really that late though. My cousin just started hers and she is 13 and she still doesn't have any breasts. Her mother started hers when she was 15 and she still doesn't have breasts either hahaha. I wouldn't worry. Just enjoy this time before she gets breasts and she tries to flaunt them, before all the boys and dates and sex. Enjoy her as a little girl now why you can. If this is really worrying you then I would take her to the dr. He will give you the best answer.

It is not that unusual for girls to start at 13 or even 14. The age for onset has been getting younger and younger over the past few decades because of all the hormones in meat, so diet can have a big impact on timing.
If you are concerned have her checked by your family physician, or local health clinic.
There is a great website called go ask alice www.goaskalice.com
I would check there for more information if you are concerned.

hey, well it is normal for your daughter not to receive it at the same time as everyone else. Everyone goes through puberty at a different time. Some start puberty later than others and there's nothing wrong with that. But, as a precaution, I recommend you check with a doctor as there could be a medical problem. But, most likely, she will soon start puberty.

That is not abnormal. Have you spoken to your daughter's pediatrician about this? Make appointment with him/her they can help educate you on the normal range for such things.
Here are some websites, too, that may have some helpful information for you:
