You don't need a pattern,really. You can do this easily...cut a rectangle of fabric approximately 14 inches wide and 36 inches long.

Fold it in half widthways and place a mark 8 inches down from the fold on the edge facing you. Draw a curved line from the mark up to the top of the edge farthest from you. Cut along the line.

Sew the long straight seam at the back, and the shorter curved seam at the top.

Tie two long cords to each lower front corner. Voila the hood.

(You can buy commercial witch costume patterns, Simplicity has good ones, if you don't want to do this yourself).
