For me itd depend on the mood i was in that day....I mostly listen to rap and hiphop because unlike what MOST people may think there ARE songs that arent just about sex and drugs, and even if the songs are about that then id still listen to it because most rap has REALLY good beats. Then, like i said, some songs do have really good messages.
On the other side, i CAN listen to rock...like punk or classic...some of the songs are good....and some also have good and bad messages...I CANNOT stand the whole metal sh** though..i dont want people screaming in my ear.... but if its not yelling then i'll listen to it.
So i think that it does depend on the person... and for all the people who say that rap sucks because and its for people with no talent, then they should shutup because all i hear in metal is screaming about death and suicide...which anyone can do if theyre pissed off enough...lol

I like rap cause rock some rock bands are screaming so loud in their songs that i cant understand what they are saying

I think Rock is. It is really just a matter of personal taste though.
To me Rock makes me more energetic and happy.
Whereas rap seems to bring up more volatile emotions.

OMG you should already no the answer to this question!!! Rap is soooo much better than rock cuz it is interesting and theres lots of cute guys and Rock is sooo freaking annoying!!!!!! its lot and totally sounds like shiz

rap obviously y because we can some time relate to what's going on in there music and i hate people who judge rap music as being bad when they never even give it a chance plus rock music to my ears just don't sound good

rock= actual singing is involved in most cases, and has a better sound in general, whilst rap consists of the same sound, and gets tiring.

this is a silly question, music is relative, not absolute, and both serve a purpose and are important to their respective cultures
its like asking which is better, the ground or the sky
obviously people are going to bring up all the negetive stereotypes about the music that they dont like, and try shine a better light onto the music they do like

I like them both.
They both have quality's that i love about music.
There is good rock and bad rock
There is good rap and bad rap

Rap because its more smoother and not rock because you cant understand what they be sayin expsecially when they are screaming.
