Why is it so popular? And will people always like it or is it just a fad and die away in like several years?

I think it is popular because it is a good way to keep in touch with your friends, it allows you to express yourself with many options to customize your space, and last but not least, it has a strong connection with music (which is something that draws people).

I think we cannot say if it's a fad or if it will last. Most of myspace's future depends on the company's ability to keep up people's interest. So far they are doing excellent.

Everything is just a fad, until something bigger and better comes along. But it's a neat way to keep in touch with the people you know, and to meet some new people along the way. I think it's pretty cool. But i'm 26, and not some 16 year old trying to sleep with every other 16 year old girl on there. If you use if for the right reasons, its a good tool to use.

I had myspace for a while and well it was alright it was a good way to communicate with old pals and what not so thats why I think its very popular. But once I found the people I needed and had no use of it so I deleted it. I dont think its that cool though because too many people write gay stuff about there life that no one wants to hear and how those "EMO" fags are taking over myspace with there gay womenly style pictures but yeah theres your answer.

It is popular because it is popular. No I am not being a smarta**. The more people that join, the more others hear about it, they join, the their friends join, etc. It is a matter of momentum.

But yes I believe it is a fad that will gradually fade and something else will take its place. Bigger, better, higher tech. Or....maybe we will all just start socializing in the real world.

I have no idea. I guess it's just a good way to talk to random people online. It's a website that people can personalize, without all the hassle of getting a domain or actually making your own website. It's a good way to actually meet people as well. I know several friends who have found boyfriends or girlfriends through myspace!

The graphics and music choices are superb and brings out the creativity in people. The lack of morals and values displayed allows people to say and show whatever they want. A lot of perverts and pedophiles are making it popular too.
I think it will get worse and it just expanded to the UK. The owners are two young British Guys raking in the dough big time.

Myspace is just a meat market. It's a poorman's pick up joint. Men looking for sex. Women looking for romance. Both men and women feel safer there than a club. I doubt it will die off anytime soon. It is a cool place to people watch though.

myspace was usally for bands to post their advertisment. It was created about in 2001. They never knew it was going to be this big. Now, not just bands but regualr people sign up to be with their friends. People will loose intrest one day like me. But then again, new people will come and sign up and get addicted. Its like a cycle.

There's obviously no way to tell if it'll die out or not, but it's popular (at least with me) because it's easy to keep in contact with people through it.

it is popular because it tells people your personalities and you can make new friends and talk to your friends too. I think it won't die out so sorry if you don't like it.
