I vote for conservative Republicans. I live in CT and have too many liberal Republicans. I cannot stand these people as much as I cannot stand Democrats.

I look at this election this way: If Democrats take over, that is awful. They will cut and run on the war on terror, have endless hearings trying to impeach Bush, raise taxes, and kill the economy.

I would rather have a Republican who is 60% in line with the party than Democrats any day. It pains me to vote these people back, but it is the best option.

I look for someone who cares more about doing the right thing by the little people than they do about their career. If all they care about is getting reelected, then they'll have no spine to do the right (and often difficult) thing when it really counts. I L O V E Barack Obama because he works so hard at being a good person instead of spending all his energy trying to LOOK good like most other politicians do. No one's perfect, but at least he hasn't given in to the creepy, shallow side of power like too many others have. He seems like a genuinely good man. We need more of those!

What are the candidates platforms? Do they think along the lines of moderation? If they claim to talk to God, or God talks to them, they're out. If they claim to have a better understanding of my moral values than I do, they're out. If they claim they are not for inclusion but for exclusion of people's rights, they're out. I refuse to vote for anyone who spouts hate or ignorance. Party affiliation is secondary to where the candidate stands.
