The illumination is great but they only seem to last at worst a couple of months before one of them burns out!!!! They're so expensive to replace I've decided to go back to the regular halogen bulbs! Has Sylvania improved this product at all?

They are good. But when you install them don't touch the glass bulb with your fingers.
I'm guessing when you changed them out you touched the glass.
Your not supposed to touch the glass on any Halogen bulb!
The oils from your skin get on the bulb and causes them to burn out prematurely

I bought them for one of my cars because it was on sale for $9 at Pepboys.

They actually do last a long time. One of them I had to replace after 1½ years because it was damaged in an accident. The other one was still working great after 3 years when I sold the car.
