i have 3 children. my first one started showing interest at 9 months and my 2nd one 8 months, my 3rd one 8 months. I think when a child has a sibling, they look up to them so they want to do what brother or sister are doing. you can also put shoes on your son and not carry him around (unless you have to like when your out and about) and get him some toys that he can push.

I don't think there is much you can do to make him interested. I would hold both his hands and walk him around your house or the park..but other than that, I think you have to wait until he decides he wants to. I have 4 children. Three of them walked by 12 months, and the other walked at 16 months. All kids develop at their own pace.

My twins did not start walking at the same time. My son was around 10 months and my daughters were 10 amd 12 months. Have you tried letting him hold your fingers and pull himself up? He will walk when he wants to, so don't worry!!!

My daughter had no interest until 17 months! My son started at 8 months! I think they walk when they are ready and I don't think anything can speed up their time table.Their interest will come soon enough, enjoy watching them figure it all out!

My daughter was a very late walker, just six weeks before she was two. She climbed out of her stroller and just walked down the hall. She aslo skipped the crawling phase too, instead she shuffled on her bottom across the floor. Every child is different, so your son will decide for himself when he feels like walking.

This is normal. I found that toys that he can push helped alot. My son walked at 9 months but used these toys for about a month before he got brave and let go.

He was just over a year old. Literally, one day, he just stood up and walked.
