It's not so much about a celebration. It's about for one night you get to be someone or something else and have fun doing it. Where you get to gut pumpkins and decorate your house with all types of spooky gadgets, where ghost stories are a must. So I guess if people do "celebrate" on Halloween, they celebrate in the fact that it's fun and a mischevious day.

Because it's fun. There's no particular reason why I'm celebrating. I just like it. It's mysterious and amusing. I get to wear a crazy outfit once a year and will continue to do so until I can no longer dress myself. I can paint my nails black for the whole month of October without questioning. I can annoy my anti-Halloween neighbors with fake skeletons and ghosts. I like to dig the guts out of pumpkins.I can watch the nonstop horror movies on tv. I like candy corn. And the smell of pumpkin-scented candles.

to celebrate the all saints day ,and to give kids a chance to pretend to be someone else for a day and have fun,as a child i use to do it for fun,and still today i think kids do it for fun,as i got older i learn it is about some one that use to go from door to door saying trick or treat, and if some one dint gave him a treat he use to a do trick or prank to them,so i guess it would be called the celebration.

It's mostly for kids now-a-days.. to get their imaginations working... The fireworks and bonfires are quite nice. Helps ring-in the autumn. (And by autumn I mean fall.)
