Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

After you download it, make sure you update it.

Go to the Nortons' or McAfee's webpage to see if they have a fix.

Otherwise, you do have a couple of other options. You can unistall IE and reinstall the software. But, you may loose your bookmarks. Which may need to be done if the bookmarks contain the original spyware.

To manually get rid of the sypware toolbar means to know all the trees it may implanted itself into. This is deleting all cookies related to it. Going to the Registry and deleting all the files related to it, etc.

The hardest factor in manual deletion is knowing all the extension and files the spyware toolbar is using. Some of the names are purposely misleading so you cannot manually delete the replicating file.

i take advantage of great Antispyware. in basic terms in basic terms started using it at the instant after many suggestions right here on YA. It says it gets "eliminates all of the spyware no longer in basic terms the common ones" and that i for one might agree. It have been given rid of nasties that AdAware, Spybot S&D and homestead windows Defender could no longer shift source(s)
