Theoretically, no.
The muscles that control breathing are voluntary muscles - which means they are not innervated by your autonomic nervous system and so on some level of consciousness, you are actually aware of every breath you take. Cutting of your air supply totally and consciously should do the trick but the problem is you cant consciously seal off. The build up of pressure is to great for you to manage so .... Yes its impossible in practice.
Even if you did manage it up to the point where you pass out, those muscles start fighting back on that level of almost consciousness - guess its just 'human nature'.
By the way, why are you asking such a question? Hope I am not being an accessory to suicide.

A usually tried and failed method and would put you off doing it again as with many suicide attempts, you can easily shock yourself and this will put you off doing the things you do to try and kill yourself. Self-suffocation doesn't work in most cases and so too with many other suicidal attempts. It is not impossible, but highly unlikely that you will die.
Seeking some help and support is the thing to do and if you feel like you want to end your life, talk to someone immediately as there are many others who feel like you do from time to time and always get through it once they have talked through their feelings with someone else.
I have been there too and wanted to kill myself, but it was a cry for help and so talked to someone about it and now I look back and can't beleive that I really felt like I wanted to do it at the time. I didn't at all and am glad to still be here. There are so many people who feel like this, so you are not alone and someone will listen to you and will take you seriously and help you to see why you are feeling like this and how to stop these thoughts.
Is it possible for you to live and like yourself ? - yes. You will and can because you do not deserve to die. Please, please, speak to your doctor or somone you can tell because the lonlier you will feel, the more you will think about doing these things I am sure that you do not want to do anything to endanger your life and you are in a lot of emotional pain.
You are a brave kid to share this with everyone and that shows that you are courageous and do want to get help, so well done for admitting to yourself that this is how you feel honestly. It could not have been easy for you. - getting some help to talk through what you are going through is the next step now and so that you do not feel alone with the thoughts you have.

No, after a few minutes you will pass out and the body will resume breathing as it is an automatic, involuntary action. When my children used to hold their breath I used to leave them to do it knowing that the body would take over and all would be fine.

Nothing is necessarily impossible, but holding your breath is not going to kill you. You can hold it long enough (and you would have to be really tough) to lose consciousness, but as soon as you passed out you would start breathing again.

No. its like a when you burn yourself, you pull back from the heat, its your body's way of tacking care of its self, most thing we do are done by the brain telling a part of our body to do something, things like holding your breath are bypassed by the body not the brain. its possible to hold your breath around 13minutes (with training) its the amount of oxygen you have in your blood stream.

Because your body is not built for you to be able to just hold your breath. It's a reflex you can't control to just breathe in.

Yes, because you will pass out and then your involuntary muscles will kick in and you will start to breathe again.

No, because breathing is a reflex and out of your control in the end.
