I think it will in some ways depend on where exactly you want to move to. If it is Barcelona city itself then I dont really think there is a lot of seasonal difference as it is a commecial working city and not totally dependent on the tourist trade. If you were looking for accommodation further along the coast, then you may get a cheap long let in the winter. I only let my own house out from easter to end October as it does not have central heating and you need it in the winter. This is worth bearing in mind when looking for somewhere. Good luck.

You are not very clear when you way "move to Spain". If you plan to live in Barcelona, you will find that the rent is very high, any time of year. Hotels depend on high and low season, flats do not.

If you are referring to hotels... High season starts mid - june, and lasts until mid - september. After that you have another short high season over the christmas holidays from december 24th. until january 6th. inclusive.
Your best bet would be in november or january for lowest price accomodation.. If you are looking to move permanently, november would also be a good month to look for housing, and start a rental or purchase for january first.
