I've been buying bits and pieces for ages and I realised that I was starting to forget what present belonged to who so i found leftover paper from last year and started to wrap. I stopped when I realised it wasn't even Halloween yet!

Sad, NO. But I'm going to have to report you to the Holiday Police. It's against the law to even start THINKING about Christmas before you start wondering what to do with leftover Thanksgiving turkey.
The stores that already have Christmas stuff on display are actually part of a sting operation designed to entice and trap you.
Don't get ahead of yourself any further - just back off, make sure you have enough chocolate coverd sugar bombs for Halloween and then, and ONLY then, start browsing the recipes for the Thanksgiving Feast.
Make a new commitment to THOROUGHLY and COMPLETELY squeeze every bit of enjoyment out of each Holiday IN ITS TIME!
Christmas? Oh, don't even GO there now gurl!

not really, as i started buying presents and wrapping them up starting from the first week of october- and i've yet to finish! but it's good that like myself and few others here that you got this planned in advance, sorted out and done and out of the way with because by the time it gets to say, a week or two weeks before the festivites start, you won't be panicking as much. plus, you won't get your knickers in a twist and pull your hair out. anyway, i think the secret to having a good and successful christmas is getting everything done as early as possible- buying the cards, xmas decorations for the tree, presents, the food etc. that way, there will be less worry and stress on yourself when christmas day arrives.

Probably - but good for you!!

Christmas always seems a long time coming - and then arrives with a bang.

I always seem to rush around in the final week, for both the presents and the wrapping paper.

Maybe I should use a page from your book....

What is christmas? A relic from pagen times. Christmas replaces the pagan seasonal celebrations from the shortest day on December 21 onwards into another year. Who the hell is father christmas anyway? Bah humbug

I've been picking up items all year for everyone, too, and I've already wrapped about half of the presents. There's nothing wrong with being efficient!

You're not sad - you're just well organised. I shall still be wrapping mine on Christmas Eve. I buy odds and ends and then decide I like them too much to give away: that's sad!
