McCartney has put out a lot of good songs, but a lot of them are kind of bland if you stop and think about it. And a lot of them are syrupy sweet, sugar-coated love songs. John's music on the other hand had a harder edge to them - with the exception of songs like "Imagine" and it even had an edge to it - which is probably why they aren't as popular as so many of Paul's sugar-coated confections. This is probably the first and only time I would ever find myself agreeing with Yoko!
