I am thirteen and not interested in eating my candy. (No one needs all that junk). What can I do with it- to help someone out? Help people out? Are there any organizations? I don't want to trick-or-treat for money and I may eat a few pieces. What could I do for a good cause?

I like your question. It shows you're a thoughtful person. I agree that nobody needs all that candy. How about putting a jar of it out somewhere, at home, in your school's office, at your parents' workplaces, with a little donation box beside it. People could pay a few cents for a candy or two, and when it's gone, you could donate the money to your favorite charity. Or you could use the money to buy dog biscuits for the animal shelter. Now you've got ME thinking of alternatives!!

i've heard of some organisations that take hard candy ( like lollipops) and donate them to African countries. kids there in africa don't get enough sugar in their diet so the candy is needed for them. you can still go out and have fun with your friends and do a good deed too. go out to your local organisation or your church and inquire about this .

Instead of asking for candy you can ask for money for children help organization unicef. I think you can find moreinfo on their website. Or you could ask for nonperishable food items and take them to a food drive. People would like you so much they would give you candy anyways. But there isn't any place that'll take candy, why don't you sell it to your friends at school thats what we used to do.

Our troops overseas appreciate small candies that they can carry with them. One exception: plain chocolates aren't recommended, as it's still quite warm in the mideast.
