I saw a program last night on Gui Ducks and I would like to find out more about them. They are some type of shell fish I thik that can live in the ground for up to 146 years.

Geoduck (pronounced as you spelled it).

a gui duck is a large type of shelf fish like a clam and are raised in Puget Sound Washington state they come from some kind of hachery and are planted into tubes at about a 1/4" to a 1/2" and are aloud to grow to very large sizes the largest ive seen is about 2 1/2 feet long in order to retieve them from the sand you must have a high pressure water hose and dig down aproximatly 2 feetusing the water hose and reach them with your hands and gently pull out they are pretty ugly but good to eat very expensive about twenty to forty dollars a pound I hope i was of some help to you

I am from Washington State and we had Geo Ducks. Yes they are shell fish. They look like clams and there are certain times of their growing cycle that they are not good to eat. We Washtonians use their shells to lay our drive-ways. And flower beds.

The person above is correct, it is Geoduck. They were on Dirty Jobs. Do a search on the computer and get all kinds of information. They look like a Pen*s.
