Im new to obd2 an im learning as I go,
my friend has a lap top an the software
hes going to let me use, But were would
i find the operating peremiters for all the
sensors. Its a96 blazer ive been playing with.

Lets just say im not new to chevy,an
engine controle managment. Just new to
obd2. :-) I scored a fairly nice truck for
400 bucks an it has a few bugs to work
out. All my outher cars were obd1.

if he has the softwear for that vehicle it should let you know what normal ( if there is such a thing ) should be. its easy to learn just take your time, hook it up cold and warm the vehicle and watch as sensor values change and it goes open loop and such, its not an overnight deal, engine drivability is a tough thing to learn correctly and if your good at it you can make good money

Get some book on engine performance diagnostic.
Essentially if any sensor reading is out of specs the car would have a check engine or service engine soon light ON, and there would be a code that you could read with this scan software.
You can for example check data like long term fuel trim and if it's more than + or - 10 then your car has some problem. You need some book to learn more.

dont PLAY WITH ECM if you dont really know what your doing!
