Nail biting is a common habit and one that's not easy to kick. However, following these steps may help you manage it and possibly quit altogether.
Instructions
* STEP 1: Purchase a bitter-tasting formula made expressly to stop nail biting. Choose the worst-tasting solution you can find.
* STEP 2: Wash hands every morning with soap and water and towel dry.
* STEP 3: Apply a liberal amount of the solution to the nails, cuticles and surrounding skin.
* STEP 4: Continue to reapply the solution throughout the day as it wears off.
* STEP 5: Reapply the solution at bedtime. Make sure the bitter taste is always present on your nails.
Tips & Warnings
* As nails begin to grow, coat them with a polish made for strengthening nails.
* Get regular manicures to maintain nails.
* Consider keeping gum or hard candy around for when you need a quick "oral fix."

There are topical ointments that taste funny and you can get them at shoppers drugmart and you put it on your nails and you wont bite them and it will help your nails grow.
Another thing you could do is buy the acrylic tips their like $20 and you put them on your nails for like a month and when you take them off your nails will be long again.
It works for me might work for you and I am a bad nail biter.
Goodluck.

You could get the nail biting solution but it doesn't always work.
What I done and it worked for me was I just stuck to one nail and left the rest to grow, I more nibblied than bit and it worked for me...now I can't stand biting my nails and I almost cry everything I break one.

It started with my boyfriend. Everytime my finger would get near my mouth, he'd stop me (grrrrr) anyways, then instead of doing that since he didn't like me getting pissed off, he would tell me how perty my nails look long. After a little while, I just liked my nails looking long and pretty as opposed to short and jagged. That was incentive enough to stop biting :) GOOD LUCK GIRL

I've heard that there's this really bitter stuff that you can put on your nails; it looks like clear nail polish, but it tastes really bitter when you try and bite your nails.
