I'm sure it isn't the first time the party in power calls the criticism of the other party "un-American."
Republicans are known for harsh comments...and getting away with it.
Really, if there was any logic to any of it they'd realized they're un-American for criticizing free speech.

It's not necessarily wrong to oppose the war. I happen to support it. So maybe this will help. Maybe not. I think if you say "the war is wrong", then fine. But then define WHY the war is wrong. A majority of people after 9-11 were all for "bombing the heck" out of whoever financed it, and "forgiveness", especially from the constitutency in New York, was out of the question. Hussein was one of those who DID finance Al-Qaida. Congress even came together, Democrats AND Republicans, and gave the President power to use at his disposal. Some may argue if that was wise, but it was done. Immediately after, we started getting "Well, we support the war, but not like this" and "I voted for the war before I voted against it" soundbytes. One by one, members of Congress started figuring how to politically spin the war for their political gain. The President SHOULD have critics, and the people SHOULD have a voice. There SHOULD be open discussion, and there is nothing un-American about it. What *I* believe is Un-American is when our own citizens go to another country and say that "America is wrong", such as Gwynneth Paltrow, or the Dixie Chicks, or Sean Penn or Michael Moore, and openly criticize the very country that protects their freedom. If this country sucks so bad, then don't come back. I noticed the critics who say that Saddam Hussein "should have been left alone" never seem to change their citizenship to become Iraq citizens.... strange... So by disrespecting your own country IN ANOTHER COUNTRY, I do believe that properly defines a "traitor", because you basically aid that country's hatred of everyone who IS HERE.

Republicans have become arrogant to the point of no return. They'll sit there and defend Foley for years knowing he was a predator. Then when Foleys molesting behavior became public, they all scattered.
Republicans have been bred from their incision to political life. They were C-sectioned into a black hole where morals don't exist. Kiss a constituents baby's face, then panhandle the wife when the husband is off to work.
They can't be trusted.
Halliburton is a big example. Republicans are trying hard to hide the wrong with justifiable arguments of nonsense and made up speeches.
They think we're gullible. But todays voter is the new internet savy individual that is sitting with a blade server in one hand and a voting lever in the other. We vote every day.
The Republican dominance is over this November. And the corruption will be put on trial for the past 6 years. No stone will be left uncovered.
Democrats will garuantee that.

No thinking Republican or Democrat will make a claim that the other side is un-American, when the popular vote in this country is split right down the middle. You don't get converts by telling them that up to now they have been seriously duped or are seriously flawed and the best or only cure for their gullibility or defectiveness is to switch party loyalty.

Simply because these actions encourage the enemies of the United States. "Providing aid and comfort to the enemy" is how it used to be described.
When Clinton was president? No, I did not feel hate for the US. More like pity.
Just what freedoms did "king Bush" take away from you? the right of free speech? the right to vote? the right to bear arms in the defence of your country? just point your finger at one FACT. In your laws drug smugglers are treated more harshly than terrorists. go figure.
Following a man out of your own free will is definetly not communism. I have seen communism with mine own eyes and felt its tender loving touch. I still bear the scars.
I cannot tell you what is un-american. I am after all not a USian. What I can tell you however is that your words and actions are helping the enemies of your country.

I don't think rational Republicans call Democrats Un-American simply if they oppose the war or the President. You are painting with too broad a brush. People, Republican or Democrat, become Un-American on the war in Iraq, in my opinion, when their words, actions or writings support, embolden, empathize or cheer on our sworn enemies. Those enemies that have vowed to destory Americans or our sworn allies. That is putting your loyalty with an enemy, instead of with your own country. Too many on the wacko radical left (not all Democrats mind you) have actually openly stated that they hope America loses, that we are defeated in Iraq and the world - THAT my friend is Un-American. On the issue of the President, you are Un-American, n my opinion, when you show horrible disrespect the Office of the President of the United States. Look at my past postings and you will see I am consistent on this point. Disagree with the President and his policies - but to call him the devil, evil, a war criminal, etc. is Un-American.
Further - you need a REAL definition of Communism, let me help you... What you are descibing is a cult - put down the Kool Aid and back away from the Democratic Party.

Because they are great at name calling, mimicing and making fun of others, they look down their noses at real Americans. they calim they are the patroits yet the impair free speech, detest the right to protest and free press, so maybe they are unAmerican for real, they also want to impose their lack of vlues upon all of us. While taxing the hell out of the lower and middle class and granting breaks for big business. Thier children don't fight the wars, they evade combat at any and all costs!

They do it because they believe it will work. They are going after those who haven't decided who'll they'll vote for yet. And if you convince enough of them that voting Democrat will get you killed and America destroyed, then you win. Both sides do it. Its wrong, but when you want something bad enough (in this case power) you'll do anything to get it, including lying and propaganda. Neither side is worth anything anymore, and the third party attempts aren't good enough yet (and doesn't look like they ever will be). I think only God can save us now.
