For starters - Ted Turner did NOT start CBS - he founded CNN, TBS, Headline News, TNT and a bunch of others.

Not too sure about your question: are you referring to Radio/TV/Film or a general program in Mass Comm? For RTF, you'd want to take courses such as Broadcasting, Broadcast Journalism, Broadcast Law and other courses which will prepare you to work in the mass media.

On the other hand, if you just mean Mass Communication, that tends to be more theoretical with courses such as Introduction to Mass Communication, Law of Mass Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, and the like depending upon what the school offers.

Hope that helps - Good Luck!

I'm not really understanding your question, but if your asking what I'd tell you to study, it would be the persuassive techniques in advertising. There are seven of them, they consist of famous-person testimonial, bandwago effect and etc. If you google them you will come up with them. Also if you go to bedsfordtmartin.com you can start an account and quiz yourelf over media info. It helps to have the book, but if your just wanting to touch up knowledge it's not nessecary the computer will give you the correct answers to the questions when you're done anyway and the cover many great mass media questions. Also know that Ted Turner started CBS and a Nielsen Rating is the number f household TV"s with their TV's TURNED ON during a program. This is how they find ratings.
