If you had TSS, you would have been hospitalized by now -- from dehydration, fever, etc. TSS is very, very serious when you get it. So rest assured that you don't have that. Just try to be more careful to change your tampon more often.

Sounds to me like you are having some rough periods. Exercise, take a hot bath or use a heating pad. If the cramps stay this bad, you will probably need to go see a gyno. The doctor can put you on the pill to make your periods easier and check to make sure that there isn't something wrong with your body that is causing your pain.

Tampons are unhealthy enough as it is without using tampons when not menstruating, the discharge you have is normal it is there to help keep your vagina clean by flushing out bacteria and it also keeps the inside of your vagina moist. Tampons prevent this discharge from flushing out bacteria, they also give bacteria a perfect place to multiply and they absorb that discharge meaning that the walls of the vagina split.
In using tampons, even when you are on your period, you are greatly increasing your risk of toxic shock syndrome and vaginal infections such as bacterial vaginosis, in using tampons when not menstruating you are putting yourself at further risk because as well as not being needed it also means tampons have nothing but discharge to absorb.

If you have excessive discharge then it is a sign of an infection, and infection that may have been from tampon use to begin with, or that you would make worse by using tampons for discharge. You should have gone to a clinic or doctor to have tests done and have the infection treated, if you use any sanitary protection when you have an infection it can make things worse but if you feel you need to then you should try using pads, pantiliners or menstrual cups, not tampons.

You sound very young, if this is the case then it is normal for your periods to be late, before the age of 18 years old your body is still developing physically and sexually, this means not everything within your body and your reproductive organs is not working in synchronisation as yet so it does not run as clockwork as it is expected to do. You can help regulate your period by taking evening primrose oil or black cohosh daily, you can pick this up at health stores or even supermarkets and this will help regulate your hormones making your periods more regular and helping reduce cramping.

Midol is not the best thing to use, all it does is numb the pain, the best way to deal with cramps is to prevent it to begin with – change of diet and lifestyle make a huge difference – or when you do get cramps, which would be rare if you prevented them, then use means such as herbal tea like raspberry leaf or yarrow, cell salts are also very useful, clarity of sage oil rubbed in small amounts onto your stomach is far better than painkillers and works far faster.

If you had TSS then you would have been hospitalised by now, you need to learn about TSS and other health risks from tampons, it is not a nice illness.

It sounds simple enough to me, you have an infection, probably bacterial vaginosis – for this you will need a swab taken and you will probably be given antibiotics, it would be a good idea to eat more yogurt as this will help introduce more 'good' bacteria into your body to help get everything back to normal.

Your period is simply late, if you have been stressed then this will effect your period, it would also explain the menstrual cramps because stress will cause menstrual problems.

you have excessive discharge? humm.... bad enough to use a tampon? If the discharge smelled bad and was excessive enough to have to use a tampon, sug you need to go to the doctor. The cramping and excessive discharge are really not normal. If it was the time of the month when you were ovulating it should not have lasted more than 24 hours or so.
I really think maybe you have an infection. Go see your doctor and don't fool around. Even if it turns out to be nothing, it is better than letting an infection go until you have scaring and it is hard to conceive a child when you are ready to do that.
better safe than sorry, if you are strapped for money go to the health clinic. they will help you.

If you've been stressed that's probably why you missed your period or why it's late .You shouldn't wear a tampon for so long although you probably know that. If it contiues or you start to vomit you should go straight to the dr's.
