His last name is Nuckles. Mine is something better than that. And what about when we have children? Should they take his last name?

Whatever you decide tell him up-front. My wife insisted that she was going to change her name right up until the wedding. Right after the wedding she told me she was keeping her name, as her family requested. Either way be up-front and honest, and the children should have his name.

When a Man & Woman Marry , They become as 1 .
If you don't like the name , than don't get married !!!!
Nuckles , didn't seem important when he asked you to get married & you said YES !!!!!
If your knit picking already , maybe you should reconcider marrying.
Sounds like Subconsiously your looking for a way out .

You must be married or adopted to take on another last name.
You two should have a nice discussion as to the last name of your future children.

It's really completely up to you. Sit down and discuss it w/ your fiance. Some people keep their last name but also take their husband's. I took my husband's last name, not because it is tradition, but because I love him and am proud to be his wife and have his last name.

Marriage is about tradition... there really isn't any logical reason for it. He went with your tradition to marry you, so you should go by tradition and take his last name.

it shouldn't matter the last name and yes the kids should take his last name.
