Supposedly drinking a lot of water and a better, more balenced diet is suposed to help with dark circles under eyes.
I had a look on the web and found ths page...this offers reasons to why people get dark circles, perhaps that will help
HEREDITY
Like varicose veins, dark circles under the eyes are usually an inherited trait. If you have dark circles, there is a good chance that others in your family also have them. The skin under the eye is very thin. When blood passes through the large veins close to the surface of the skin it can produce a bluish tint. The more transparent your skin, also an inherited trait, the darker the circles appear.
EXPOSURE TO THE SUN
Even in darker skinned people, exposure to sunlight, especially during the summer months, can cause a higher-than-normal level of skin pigmentation (melanin) under the eyes. People get sun tans because exposure to the sun increases the natural pigmentation of the skin and draws that pigmentation to the surface. The same principle applies to the skin under the eyes.
ALLERGIES, ASTHMA and ECZEMA
Any condition that you have that causes your eyes to itch can contribute to darker circles under the eyes because rubbing or scratching the skin can darken the skin. Hay fever sufferers particularly will notice under-eye "smudges" during the height of the allergy season. Some food allergies can also cause the area under the eyes to appear darker.
MEDICATIONS
Any medications that you are taking that causes blood vessels to dilate, can cause circles under the eyes to darken. Because the skin under the eyes is very delicate, any increase blood flow shows through the skin.
NUTRITION
The lack of nutrients in the diet, or the lack of a balance diet, can contribute to the discoloration of the area under the eyes.
FATIGUE, LACK OF SLEEP
A lack of sleep or excessive tiredness can cause paleness of the skin, which again allows the blood underneath the skin to become more visible and appear more blue or darker.
PREGNANCY and MENSTRUATION
The skin can also become more pale during pregnancy and menstruation, which again allows the underlying veins under the eyes to become more visible.
AGE
If you have a propensity to have dark circles under you eyes, as you grow older, they are likely to become more noticeable and permanent. Excess folds of skin under the eyes will also make dark circles more pronounced.

Unfortunately no. I think I was born with dark circles; I always look like I haven't had enough sleep. The dark circles are caused by our having thinner skin under the eyes which allows the blood in the veins to be seen. This shows up as being dark.
I tried a cream which was suppose to lighten up the circles permanently, but then one of the possible side effects was increasing the darkness. I decided I wasn't taking any chances & discontinued the use of it. I don't remember the name of it but it began with a "K."
I wish that a plastic surgeon would come up with a way to correct the problem.

you know the classic cucumber thing? it works. put a couple of slices of cucumber in the frige and let them chill. When cold, put them on your eyes. Hold them there for ten minutes; it helps to tie a scarf or something to hold them on.
also, cooled tea bags can work like cucumbers, but be careful because some teas can give you an allergic reaction. Test on your arm first.
-soak 2 cotton balls in water and freeze for about five minutes. If you let them go longer, they'll be rocks. this is the fastest cold trick.
If you have dark circles often, even if you get at least 6 or 7 hours of sleep, it can be a sign of a nutritional deficiency and you should see your doctor or nutritionalist. It could also mean you have an illness (forget what it's called) and should definitely see your doctor!
drink more water (you want about 64 ounces a day or 8 cups) and try to get at least seven hours of sleep every night. also, I've found that if I go to bed at 11 o clock and wake up at 6 (seven hours) I have dark circles, where as if i go to bed at 9 and wake up at 4 i don't, even though it's still 7 hours! try to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier to finish your work.

Take 2 spoons and put in freezer. After chilled, lay down and cover your eyes with the spoons for a few minutes, this will reduce any swelling and puffiness.
Take your ring fingers and lightly tap on the skin under the eye for a few seconds. Dark circles can be caused by pooling blood and the tapping can help to get it re-circulated.
Buy a good coverup that is 2 shade lighter than your skin tone/foundation.

Tan. Dark under eye circles are not always caused by lack of sleep, some people, like me, just have them. You really shouldn't worry about it since your a dude. Unless it looks like you got punched..that would be different.

hemorrhoid cream reduces the puffiness and I know you said no cover up but yellow cover up is the best to cover the darkness.
