Why use the truck? How about the car?

Trucks aren't subject to the same regulations that cars are and therefore are MUCH bigger gas guzzlers. If you don't absolutely HAVE to have a truck for work purposes (hauling large loads) then owning one is just irresponsible or ignorant at best. You save more on gas with a car and don't unnecessarily contribute to oil war deaths, not to mention global warming.

Ok. I live in Louisiana. Having a truck is just a way if like in my home town. What do you do if you drive your pretty little car off the road by mistake? Call someone? Call triple A? Well with a truck you don't have that problem. You run it off the road just to have the excuse to put it in four wheel drive and have fun. Yes they do take more gas. But a truck it bigger, stronger, more reliable vehicles.

Truck, room to haul, sits up higher, feels more powerful. Other drivers stay out of my way and don't cut me off when I'm in my truck like they do when I'm in a van or car.

Only thing I like about cars: better gas mileage.

it all depends on the situatuons. example, I live in the country and see a truck as an essential thing to have, but i can understand that cars are better for miles per gallon and for hauling kids
