I am 7 months preg right now, and from experiance i will tell you that when you took your preg test it was probably to early to tell.
I took a test after i was only 1 week late, and the test was negative. but a week later I took a 2nd test (i was 2 weeks late at this point) and the test was positve before i could even get my pants pulled back up!!!!! Seriously! And I was on the pill, but had forgotten to take 2 days worth of pills, it is a fact that once you are on any type of birth control, and then you get off of it (with in the next 2-3 months) you are the most fertile!!
I am happy now, that i am having a baby. It's a girl!!!
My advice to you would be to take another test or go to the dr.

It might be too early to tell. Your period might have been a result of your body getting used to not having the patch. I'd wait until your next cycle to tell and then take another ptest.

A blood test is more accurate than a home test as some women never secrete the pregnancy hormone into their urine. It is best to act like you are pregnant until you find out, either by blood test or taking another home test in a few days/a week.
Either way if you have sex it is always possible to become pregnant. Best of luck

As Conception occures ( Ovum and Sperm Meeting) and fertilization, A hormone called Human Menopausal Gonadotropin HMG is secreted into the blood that any pregnancy test can catch and detect... If you re pregnant, HMG Will be detected the first hours of conception and not days.. so you have to repeat the test again and be more sure by testing the blood and not the urine. as the hormone may be affected by the media to negative the test...

wait at least a week and retest if you still dont have a period.you see the thing with the patch the pill or the shot is your putting hormones into your body so sometimes it is normal to have a slight discharge as a period it has happened to me.and if you read the insert to your prescription for the patch it is also sometimes normal to skip a period.so wait a few more days and retest if its negative you have nothing to worry about

God - I hope not - you said you were on the pill!
Just kidding.
My sister had a negative pregnancy test too. In fact her situation sounds just like yours. I don't want to worry you but it was 5 months before she found out that she was actually pregnant. Maybe you should go to the doctor before it is too late to make a decision.
Her little boy was born two months ago - she already has two teenaged boys.
He is adorable though. :)

It was too early to do a test. Do it again after a week or 10 days.
You can spot when pregnant, but it should be red or reddish, has to be brown and only spotting, mind u, not a flow.
Get a blood test done to make sure.
